The Virginia Beach Ballet was organized in 1975 to
promote interest in the art of classical ballet and
modern dance. It provides dancers with a performing
outlet to develop their talents and techniques in an
amateur and professional atmosphere.
The
Virginia Beach Ballet is a nonprofit organization, and
performances are funded in part by grants from the City
of Virginia Beach through the Virginia Beach Arts and
Humanities Commission and from the Virginia Beach
Foundation.
